SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and October 15 is designated as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Wednesday night, Maple Park Cemetery will be the site of a special gathering.
“I think it’s really important to know that you’re never alone there’s a lot of people out there that have experienced a loss it’s much more common than people realize so this kind of gives us a way to bring people together and to grieve together where they have that in common,” said Hallie Roper, a volunteer with Springfield Wave of Light.
The Springfield Wave of Light is an evening for Families who have lost a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, or other conditions.
