SEDALIA, Mo - During tomorrow's meeting of the Pettis County Commission a recognition event will be held for Ivy Elwell.

The La Monte native was elected as the 2025-26 Missouri State FFA President back in May. Elwell's Supervised Agricultural Experience includes showing quarter horses and market hogs, as well as operating her succulent and cactus business, The Crafty Camel. She also volunteers at the La Monte Food Pantry and the Pettis County Mobile Food Pantry.

Her recognition event will take place in the Commission Chambers on the second floor of the Pettis County Courthouse at 9 am. A proclamation will be presented during the ceremony.
