CARMEL – Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, an internationally recognized event commemorating pregnancy loss and infant death, part of October’s Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month created by President Ronald Reagan, was commemorated in Putnam County Wednesday evening when 50 people gathered at the Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park for a candlelight vigil.
County Executive Kevin Byrne welcomed families and area service providers while highlighting Putnam as a community of support for those impacted by miscarriage, stillbirth, sudden infant death syndrome and other forms of child loss.
