TORRINGTON, Conn. (WFSB) - A driver suffered several injuries following a crash in Torrington on Tuesday afternoon.

At around 2:15 p.m. a car that was going northbound in the area of when it suddenly drifted into the guardrails, collided with about 8 to 10 posts and went down an embankment.

The driver of the car suffered a head injury, chest trauma and leg injuries.

She was transported to a nearby hospital by LifeStar for further treatment and is currently in stable condition

Officials have identified the driver as 42-year-old Larissa Madden.

This incident remains under investigation at this time.
