State safety officials are expanding efforts to protect Nevada workers from extreme heat.
The Nevada Division of Industrial Relations, along with the Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), has enhanced its heat illness dashboard to provide new data on education and enforcement of the state’s Heat Illness Prevention regulation.
The regulation is aimed at safeguarding employees from heat-related illnesses by requiring employers to implement preventive measures, training, and emergency response plans.
