LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- This fall season is proving to be a much cooler one than last year, and Tuesday night's snowfall on Mount Charleston proved it. By Wednesday morning, Lee Canyon was reporting 6 inches of fresh snow, one of the earliest and most plentiful snowfalls in years.

"It's an early-season winter storm. It's certainly our first cold snap of the year," Meteorologist Stan Czyzyk with the National Weather Service in Las Vegas said.
