BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Berkeley County deputies arrested a Goose Creek man Tuesday after a concerned citizen's tip led them to discover an alleged dogfighting operation.

Quentin Roderick Reid, 42, of Reese Court, is charged with 50 counts of rabies control chapter violation and 49 counts of ill treatment of animals with torture. He is currently in custody at the Berkeley County detention center.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office said it received a tip in July about possible dogfighting activity at a home on Reese Court in Goose Creek.

The office launched an investigation, which led to a drone operation and multiple search warrants executed at the location in question.
