INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission (ATC) is cracking down on the sale of illegal THC products across the state after an audit found nearly 700 shops were selling some type of smokable hemp, which is illegal under state law.

Agents from the Indiana State Excise Police paid a visit to the Higher Life CBD Dispensary in Fountain Square this week and began inspecting the products, according to the dispensary's owner.

Following that inspection, owner Brandon Howard said the agents began clearing out his display cabinets and bagging up his hemp flower products. It looks similar to marijuana, but it's different. However, Indiana law says it's still illegal.
