LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Gov. Josh Stein announced today that a Canadian manufacturer will open its first U.S. headquarters in Kinston, creating 20 new jobs in Lenoir County.

Cardon Rehabilitation & Medical Equipment makes therapy equipment and tables used in clinical and rehabilitation settings.

The Ontario-based company will invest over $4 million into building a 60,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on Berkley Avenue.

“North Carolina continues to be a top choice for companies that value innovation, talent, and opportunity,” said Gov. Stein. “Cardon’s investment in Lenoir County is a win for our state’s manufacturing sector and a testament to the strengths of our communities and workforce.”

According to a news release, the annual average salary is estimated to be $48,965,
