DETROIT – Cam Talbot, Mason Appleton and the power play have been a winning combination for the Detroit Red Wings.

Appleton scored a pair of goals, Cam Talbot made 21 saves and the Red Wings converted on the power play again Wednesday for a 4-1 victory over the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers at Little Caesars Arena.
