LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Dozens of families stood shoulder to shoulder on the steps of the Arkansas State Capitol on Tuesday evening, their candles flickering against the setting sun — each flame a tribute to a child gone too soon.
The gathering marked International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day, a global remembrance held every October 15.
At 7 p.m. in every time zone, families across the world light candles for one hour to create what’s known as a “Wave of Light.”
The memorial spans 24 hours as flames burn across continents, uniting grieving parents through shared love and loss.
