MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Concerned residents gathered Wednesday night at the Cheat Lake Fire Hall to discuss their opposition to NextEra Energy’s proposed 500-kilovolt transmission line that would cross several counties in West Virginia.

The meeting, organized by the group Concerned Citizens Against Transmission Line Injustice, aimed to raise awareness about the potential impacts of NextEra Energy’s Extra High Voltage Line proposal and to encourage public involvement before the company’s next regulatory filing.
