JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Cancer impacts so many families all over the country, but when a diagnosis struck the Malin family in Jacksonville Beach, they knew they had an obligation to help others who were not just struggling with the illness, but struggling to make ends meet.
Ed Malin’s wife Kristan was diagnosed with breast cancer over ten years ago.
"I'll never forget the day, I'm getting goosebumps when I say this," said Malin. "When you get that phone call from your wife, it's a conversation you'll never forget.”
While going through one of the toughest times of their lives, the Malins devised an idea to help other people fighting breast cancer.
