Cody’s Closet gives 65 beds to local children in Annual “Beds for Knowledge” event

IMPERIAL — For many children in Imperial Valley, a good night’s sleep now comes with the comfort of their very own bed, thanks to Cody’s Closet’s annual “Beds for Knowledge” event.

The event, organized by Heather White, director of the local nonprofit Cody’s Closet, took place at the Casa de Mañana building at the Imperial Valley Fairgrounds. This year, 115 children were invited, with 80 attending — many of whom left with not only new beds but also essentials like bedding, shoes and school supplies.
