A sweet treat has been taken off shelves at Marks and Spencer ( M&S ) over concerns it could be a potential "health risk" to certain people. A UK-wide alert has been issued, warning that certain packets of a chocolate treat may contain peanuts, which could trigger an allergic reaction.

Eating the items in question - M&S Milk Chocolate Honeycomb - could put millions of peanut allergy sufferers in harm's way. A recall has been issued for the retailer by the Food Standards Agency last night, Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

The own-brand products have been withdrawn "as a precautionary measure". The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issues withdrawals for various reasons.
