After years of anticipation, Waterbean Coffee is preparing to open its second Gaston County location.

The coffee shop will open Oct. 17 at Hangar 618, a multi-use building in Gastonia’s FUSE district that will eventually also house a classic car club, a car wrapping company, and other offices and businesses.

Waterbean founder Tony Vo first announced the new build in 2022, telling The Gazette that it would be modeled after Waterbean’s Vietnam location and would be the most “upscale” location in North Carolina.
