MCEWEN, Tenn. (WSMV) - Investigators with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) have successfully identified the remains of 14 out of the 16 people believed to have died when an explosives plant in McEwen exploded Friday.
The TBI used Rapid DNA technology to match DNA found on the scene to samples provided by family members.
Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis said he has spoken with all 16 families as the deputies from his department, the Hickman County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) continue to process the scene.
