CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A teacher assistant at a Charlotte elementary school was arrested this past weekend after she allegedly cut someone with a knife, records revealed.

The woman -- 44-year-old Chandraprabha Singh -- was accused of “unlawfully, willfully, feloniously” cutting another person’s neck on Sunday, Oct. 12, according to an arrest warrant.

Available documents did not say what led up to the alleged incident, nor what the person’s relationship to Singh was; however, Charlotte-Mecklenburg she was arrested by their domestic violence unit. Police also said the allegations happened off campus and the victim was not a teacher, student or faculty member.

She was charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
