Gwinnett County Police now have drop boxes at every precinct where you can safely throw away old or unwanted prescription drugs.

What It Means For You: You no longer have to flush pills down the toilet or toss them in the trash. Both methods can harm the environment or put your family at risk if someone finds them.

What’s Happening: Police installed special collection boxes called NarcX receptacles at headquarters and all precincts across the county.

You can drop off pills, tablets, capsules, and liquid medications.

The boxes are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
