CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The deputy U.S. Marshal who was shot on the city’s East side Wednesday morning has been released from the hospital.
His name has not been released.
The shooting happened around 8 a.m. Wednesday in the area of E. 91st Street and Stewart Avenue in the city’s Glenville neighborhood while the deputy U.S. Marshals and Cleveland police were serving a warrant.
The suspect barricaded himself inside an apartment and fired shots at the law enforcement officers, according to U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott.
The deputy U.S. Marshal was transported to University Hospitals by another law enforcement vehicle before EMS arrived.
