TEMPLE, Texas — The City of Temple has lifted a Boil Water Notice issued to its public water system following recent water quality concerns.
This comes after a positive E. coli sample was found during testing, according to the City of Temple.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Temple public water system, TX0140005, to issue the notice on October 15, 2025, advising customers, employees and the public to boil water before drinking or using it for human consumption. The notice was issued due to conditions affecting the quality of water distributed by the system.
City officials confirmed that corrective actions were taken to restore water quality and that laboratory tests provided to TCEQ indicate the water no longer needs to be boiled as of October 16, 202
