BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - LSU officials and Baton Rouge-area law enforcement provided an update on gameday and campus security during a news conference on Thursday, Oct. 16.

According to the Interim President Matt Lee, the changes include fencing off Unity Field for the foreseeable future and limiting entrance access from Highland Road to cars with LSU parking permits.

Unity Field is located at the northeast corner of Highland Road and South Stadium Drive, across from the Parker Coliseum.

Officials said this area was identified as a source of significant issues, including firearm-related incidents.

LSU will issue guidance on game day road closures in the coming days.
