The FIFA World Cup is a little under eight months away, and you can bet that excitement is in full swing for it.
And while Toronto and Vancouver will be hosting 13 matches of the tournament , people will be coming from all corners of the globe to check out the action in North America.
FIFA announced Thursday that over one million tickets have already been sold for the tournament next year, with matches taking place in 16 different North American cities. The tickets were available via a Visa-affiliated presale lottery, the first of several lottery stages to dole out the tickets. While millions of fans were left disappointed in their inability to buy tickets, people from 212 countries and territories of residence have already secured their seats for the tournament.
