RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A person walked into a hospital after getting shot while police were investigating shots fired in east Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers reported to Thelma Street just before 2 a.m., a small road just off of Beacon Lake Drive and New Bern Avenue.

A short time later, according to a spokesperson with the police department, a person showed up with a gunshot wound after driving themselves to a nearby hospital.

The spokesperson said they are working to connect this shooting victim with the shots fired call on Thelma Street.

Officers said the victim's injuries were non-life-threatening. The spokesperson said no arrests have been made.
