Pocatello man arrested for bomb threat at Idaho State Capitol

POCATELLO, Idaho – A 58-year-old man from Pocatello was arrested in connection with a bomb threat made in early October to the Len B Jordan Building in Boise's Idaho State Capitol complex.

On Oct. 8, at around 10:14 a.m., the Pocatello Police Department responded to reports of this man making threatening phone calls to a local property management company. He allegedly threatened violence, including claims to "blow them up."

About 20 minutes later, the same phone number was used to make a bomb threat to employees at the Capitol, leading to an evacuation. Two additional threatening voicemails were left from the same number.

Later that morning, Pocatello Police located the man and placed him in protective custody. A joint investigation with Idaho State Police linked him to the Capitol thre
