KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Appalachian Outlaw Trails has broken ground, and economic growth is expected to follow.
To keep the growth flowing, a new council has been created -- specifically focusing on economic growth in eastern Kanawha County.
Tristan Leavitt, R-Kanawha, said, “In talking to people there, it’s clear to a lot of them that they feel like they have kind of missed out on some economic progress our county has seen. So the idea behind this council is to get together business and community leaders to be able to talk about how we can make the most of the developments that are going on.”
