BUXTON, N.C. — Another home has collapsed on the Outer Banks, according to government officials.

The Cape Hatteras National Seashore posted on Saturday evening that the unoccupied home at 46006 Cottage Avenue in Buxton collapsed at about 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

It’s the fourth house collapse on the Outer Banks in October. Two others were also in Buxton, on nearby Tower Circle Road, while the remaining one happened in Rodanthe.

Seven homes, all in Buxton on Cottage Avenue and Tower Circle Road, collapsed in September.
