Australia’s stand-in captain Mitchell Marsh became the eighth Australian to hit over 100 sixes in ODIs and just the fourth Australian to have repeated the feat in both ODIS and T20Is as Australia beat India by seven wickets (via DLS method) in the first ODI at the Perth Stadium.
Marsh showcased his power-hitting skills by pulling Arshdeep Singh’s short-length delivery for a towering six. He then danced down the pitch and launched Mohammed Siraj’s ball over deep cover for another maximum. His third six came when he slapped Harshit Rana’s delivery over deep cover, bringing his ODI six tally to 102.
