TUCSON, Ariz. ( KOLD /Gray News) - A stray bullet from a police gun range practice hit monkey bars at a community park.

Officials are investigating after a stray bullet hit the monkey bars at Gladden Farms Community Park in Marana, Arizona, Wednesday morning.

Officials said the Sahuarita Police Department was doing rifle training at the Marana Gun Club at the time and confirmed the stray bullet was fired from one of its officers. The gun range is less than half a mile from the park.

There were no injuries, but according to town officials, a woman and child were at the park and heard the shot.

Robin Taylor said she and her grandson were playing with toy trucks when they heard the gunshot.
