If the Seattle Mariners defeat the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series in Toronto, the Series would begin at Dodger Stadium. If the Blue Jays win Game 6 and Game 7 Monday, which would also be held in Toronto, the Series would begin in Toronto.

The World Series will begin Friday, regardless of who the American League team is.

Toronto had the best regular-season record among the three teams still in contention for the World Series, 94-68, matching the New York Yankees for the third-best record in Major League Baseball.

The Dodgers had the fifth-best record, 93-69, while the Mariners tied the San Diego Padres for the seventh-best, 90-72.
