SAN ANTONIO — A woman was arrested early Sunday morning after a high-speed crash at an intersection near the downtown area that left two people in critical condition, according to San Antonio police.
Police were called to a major accident at the intersection of S. San Marcos and S. Laredo Street around 3:30 a.m.
Police said the suspect, a 34-year-old woman, was driving at a high rate of speed when her vehicle ran through the intersection and struck another car, causing her vehicle to catch fire.
According to SAPD, a 4-year-old child in the suspect’s car was not properly secured and was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The other driver, a 40-year-old woman, also suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
