LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man was killed near Fern Creek early Sunday morning, according to Louisville police.

LMPD said on Oct. 19, around 2:55 a.m., officers were called to a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of Brentlinger Park Drive. There, they found a man who had been shot. He was taken to UofL Hospital, where he later died.

The Jefferson County Coroner identified the victim as 30-year-old Darryl Burnett Jr.

Hours later, LMPD announced the arrest of two men in connection to the shooting. Darrel Burnett, 37, has been charged with murder, and Kiaira Paige has been charged with second-degree assault.

An LMPD spokesperson confirmed that the victim and the two suspects are brothers.
