LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The American Cancer Society held its annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Louisville on Sunday.
Despite the weather, a large crowd gathered at Slugger Field to help do their part in the fight to end breast cancer.
The Making Strides program raises lifesaving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of the journey.
In Louisville, there is one supporter who stands out from the crowd and speaks on the importance of today’s event.
“Well, to support anyone that you know, family, friends, coworkers, everyone needs support during their cancer journey, and this is how you do it,” said Pink Crusader. “By coming to these walks, getting involved, and dressing in pink.”
