MEADE COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE) - A Louisville man was fatally hit by a car in Meade County on Sunday morning, according to Kentucky State Police.

Officers from KSP’s Elizabethtown Post responded to a call just after 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19, of a pedestrian being hit by a car on Dixie Highway in Meade County.

Initial investigation indicated that 24-year-old Jordan Sanborn of Louisville was driving a Nissan sedan north on Dixie Highway when he hit a pedestrian, 34-year-old Troy Jackson of Louisville.

Jackson was pronounced dead by the Mead County Coroner’s Office.

Sanborn was taken to Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown with minor injuries and is expected to survive.

Police are still investigating the incident.
