OLD TOWN, Maine (WABI) - The Penobscot County sheriff’s office is investigating two separate crashes that happened the evening of Oct 17.

Police say on Friday evening, officers were dispatched to Greenbush for a domestic disturbance, however one person involved in the incident left the property before officers arrived.

Shortly after, the Old Town Police department located the car involved and attempted to stop it however the car struck a residence.

The Sheriff’s office says when a supervisor responded to the Old Town scene, they noticed a car far ahead accelerating rather than slowing and pulling over even though emergency sirens and lights were on.

Later officers came across the car crash.
