Donations are flowing in to help a woman from the Grundy Lake area who was seriously injured in an explosion at her home.

Rosemary Ahrens, known to many as Neb, suffered severe burns when a leak from a propane tank caused her modest cabin to burst into flames just over a week ago.

Her son Cayden Bonham-Schriver, of Britt, has set up an online fundraiser to help her, while she remains in hospital.

“On the night of Oct. 11, my mother was at home where she lives alone when her house exploded from a gas leak,” writes Cayden at the GoFundMe page. “The house is unsalvageable. My mother suffered severe burns to 30 per cent of her body including her face, neck, chest and hands.”
