LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A staple of the NuLu neighborhood closed its doors for the last time this weekend.

For the past five years, NoraeBar has been Main Street’s prime location for late-night karaoke.

The business announced in August that the building was being sold to new owners, prompting their decision to close the bar for good.

Customers had their grand finale on Saturday, Oct. 19, with Sunday being reserved for a special send-off for friends and family.

“You know, it’s just, we’re such a big part of so many memories for people that are really special,” said NoraeBar Co-owner Zack Pennington. “And then a lot of, also a lot of people said that this is one of the few places they felt like they could be themselves and felt really comfortable and felt really welcomed.”
