LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man who passed away eight days after being the victim of a Louisville hit-and-run has been identified.
According to Louisville Metro Police, officers responded to a call at around 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of West Broadway and South 28th Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, police found a man with what were originally considered non-life-threatening injuries, who was then taken to UofL Hospital.
The unknown vehicle reportedly fled east on Broadway, resulting in the street being shut down for about an hour.
The victim later died in the hospital from his injuries on Friday, Oct. 10.
On Sunday, Oct. 19, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 64-year-old Claude Dailey of Loui
