MINNEAPOLIS — After nearly two years of orange cones, barriers, and detours, the long-awaited reconstruction of Hennepin Avenue in Uptown Minneapolis is finally nearing its end, and residents and businesses can hardly wait.

For Litt Pinball bar on Hennepin, business has been impacted by this project. "It definitely has been frustrating with business; it has affected us significantly," said bartender Lee Brandreup. "We're very excited for it to be done."

The project, initiated by the City of Minneapolis in 2024, was designed to make Hennepin Avenue safer and more accessible for all modes of transportation. Once fully reopened, the roadway will include new bus shelters, protected bike lanes, wider sidewalks, and upgraded utilities, including new sewer and water lines. It will also accommod
