BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — At least two people are reported in custody after shots were fired and occupants of a Brooklyn Park home engaged in a standoff with police.

Multiple squads arrived at the home near the intersection of Laramie Trail and Newton Ave. N. after 911 calls reporting gunshots. Officers quickly set up a perimeter, and located evidence of shots being fired near the residence. They were heard over a bullhorn telling those inside the residence to come out, but there was no response.

"You are under arrest. Come to the front door now, hands up," an officer exhorted. "We are not going away."
