NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Dry air has remained with little to no rainfall, very clear skies, chilly air, and mostly light winds for now.
Below-freezing temperatures are confined to very few northern and western areas, while everywhere else is ranging from the high 30s to the 50s.
Very few clouds will form today as afternoon temperatures will reach above normal with the influence of a high pressure system to the southeast. High temperatures will mostly range in the 60s to the 80s, except for southeastern areas reaching the low 90s, while downsloping westerly winds will switch to northeasterly winds late in the day in the Northeast Highlands, marking the tail end of the current pattern drifting east as a backdoor but dry cold front forms.
Some low-level moisture will slowly return to the east a
