Manchester United could financially benefit again from the sale of Mason Greenwood - more than a year after he left the club.

The forward joined Marseille in the summer of 2024 with United receiving a fee rising to £26.6 million. As part of the deal, United added in 50% a sell-on clause .

Should Greenwood move on from Marseille any time, it means that United could be due a sizeable sum of money. The player was linked with a move away in the summer transfer window with clubs in Saudi Arabia interested, but he remained with the French side.

Barcelona are now the latest club said to be keeping an eye on the player. TBR Football report that scouts were in attendance to watch Greenwood in Marseille’s 6-2 win over Le Havre on Saturday.
