A father-of-three who barricaded the doors of Heaton Park synagogue during the Yom Kippur terrorist attack has spoken of he saw 'the worst of humanity' that day. Yoni Finlay, 39, was accidentally shot by the police during the attack at the synagogue on October 2.
He was one of three men who were seriously injured in the incident that claimed the lives of two people. After nearly two weeks in hospital, he returned to the synagogue in Middleton Road today (October 20) where he and other survivors welcomed King Charles.
The monarch visited Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation where he was greeted by Rabbi Daniel Walker and the Chief Rabbi of the UK.
The King met the three men who were injured, their families and other members of the community who were in the building that day
