A man is in critical condition and has a head injury following a car and scooter crash in Dorchester, according to the Boston Police Department.
At 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a report of a moped struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Geneva Avenue and Levant Street, according to Sergeant Detective John Boyle of the department.
The victim, an adult man, was conscious and alert when police officers were at the scene of the crash. The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene. As of Monday, the adult man who was involved in the crash was hospitalized with a head injury and is in critical condition, Boyle told MassLive.
An investigation into the collision is underway, Boyle said.
