WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Two women were arrested for allegedly stealing $700 worth of merchandise from Walmart Saturday, one of whom has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1997.
Officers responded to the Walmart on Wolcott Street for a reported shoplifting where 42-year-old Christine Eason and 50-year-old Rudonna Legree were observed walking through the store stealing merchandise, according to Waterbury police.
The report claimed the women removed price tags and concealed clothing, items, food, jewelry and beauty products inside bags. Police also say that Legree is a suspect in another shoplifting that occurred at the store the day before.
Both women resisted arrest, according to police, but were eventually detained. The total value of the merchandise recovered from the women
