NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WFSB) - A man was placed in custody after being accused of threatening a delivery driver with a weapon on October 15th.

At around 6 p.m. officers were called to the area of Manners Avenue after a report of an Amazon delivery driver being threatened with a firearm by an individual during a scheduled delivery, the police department said.

When crews arrived on scene, they found the suspect nearby and saw he had a firearm.

Police said the suspect was legally in possession of this firearm and held a valid Connecticut pistol permit.

Following an investigation, several witnesses of the incident said an argument was started over the delivery of a package.

As the dispute continued, the suspect revealed a firearm tucked in a holster in his waistband.
