QUINCY (WGEM) - Quincy City Council held a meeting Monday night to tackle multiple ordinances, starting with accepting a bid from Diamond Construction Company to resurface 12 alleys and seven streets.

Quincy City Engineering Manager Steve Bange said the two projects are set for separate dates. The city is looking to start work on improving the alleys as soon as next week and will expect them to take one week to finish.

Work on the streets is not set to begin until the spring of 2026.

Funding for the projects will come from the capital budget, ward funds and the general capital money.
