FORT PAYNE, Ala. - Fort Payne Police Department carried out operations at three businesses on Monday following tips about the presence of gambling machines.

Chief David Davis said officers discovered 38 illegal gambling machines that were paying out cash in businesses on Gault Avenue.

The investigation led to the seizure of more than $7,200.

Gael Garcia, 20, from Albertville, was arrested and faced charges including possession of gambling devices, conspiracy to promote gambling, promoting gambling, and possession of gambling records.
