BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — Two people were arrested Tuesday afternoon in Bristol after attempting to flee from police and being found with large amounts of drugs, according to police.
Police said they attempted to stop the vehicle in the area of Riverside Avenue. The vehicle fled the stop, but police used stop sticks to successfully disable the vehicle.
While attempting to elude police, the two suspects — who were identified as Tyrek Middleton and Nigeria Minchenko — threw a book bag out the window of the car, which was later recovered by police.
Bristol officers seized 1759 bags of suspected fentanyl, 40 grams of cocaine, 22 grams of crack cocaine, 12 oxycodone pills and over $2,100 in cash.
Minchenko posted bond and is due in court next month. Middleton is on parole for several other na
