CENTREVILLE, Miss. (WLBT) - A former police officer in Mississippi has pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement.

According to a release from the State Auditor’s Office, former Centreville police officer Patrick Harris pawned his assigned pistol from the police department, and a few months later, pawned off two pistols from the agency’s evidence room.

Harris was prosecuted in Wilkinson County Circuit Court, where he was sentenced to ten years’ probation.

He was also ordered to pay $731.12 in restitution, $432.50 in court costs, and $750 in fines.
